Novice Leaper: Not A Thrill Seeker Poem by Terence George Craddock

Novice Leaper: Not A Thrill Seeker

rewind

stepping off
a cliff face
a sheer drop

into gap void air
gravity descent
an irreversible fall

is stepping out
of secure safety net
comfort zone

an awful long way down...

afraid of hitting distant upcoming ground...

terror anticipating hitting impact ground...

an agony of heart chilling horror
an endless fall into panic shock terror
an imagination impact head screaming meeting grime reaper...

adrenaline perception jumps different strokes for different folks
