Nothing More Nothing Less Poem by Kiy Anu

Nothing More Nothing Less

How can one express a thought
One as dull and boring as the one I've got
How can one tell the world how they feel
When the world only see's what's on their peel
They only see what they've been told to
And this habit will stick to them like glue
There is no cure, no way to break the chain
Even if they try their efforts would be in vain
And it would only make it all much worse
But I guess that is humanities curse
To be stuck so far in our own minds
And fed over and over the same old lines
That people should only behave a certain way
And if they don't then they are not okay
That if they stray from societies box
And quite behaving in a manner of faux
Then they are to be shunned and cast far out
To be criticized and ridiculed without a doubt
Because to be different from any other
Will always always, cause a pother
To be different is not accepted nor called for
This is what it is, nothing less, nothing more
So saying the words that I wish to express
Is terrifyingly hard nothing more nothing less
