Nothing Is Eternal Poem by Tanner Herndon

Nothing Is Eternal

Rich with insanity,
Thick with hate,
Drunk with love,
Stinking of confusion,
Sleeping with desperation,
Cheating with indifference,
Staring down lust,
Foaming at the mouth with greed,
Keeping to myself a secret,
Nothing is eternal, only death,
Death, will never lie to us,
Death, will treat us proper,
Death, will accept us,
Death, will spoil us,
Death, will love us,
Death, will coddle us,
Death, wants us,
And most refuse death,
Why?
It's a better parent than you will ever be.
