Not Your Victim Poem by Cassandra Hooper

Not Your Victim

A twing of fear
A little pain
A sudden urge
To cut through my veins
A realization
A clearer dream
A muffled cry
A deafening scream
The knife to my wrist
The gun to my head
Two chances
To end up dead
You don't get it
You never did
I'm not your victim
I'm not your kid
So just go away
Leave me alone
You cause this house
To be a broken home
I wish Ihad saved
All the tears you've made me shed
So that you could drown in them
So you'd be whose dead
