Not So Perfect Poem by April Janvier

Not So Perfect

Rating: 5.0

This smile of happiness and Joy
Once you take a look you see a perfect girl
Her beautiful perfect world
You share a laugh or two
You look into her eyes and see no fear
A bold heart, nothing that can tear her down
If you look closer in her eyes, you see a river full of emotions
No one knows about this girl
I mean the true person beneath the beauty and bold heart
As she smiles, she screams aloud in her head
As she laughs, she's crying
No one knows what she holds deep inside
A fire burning of rage and anger
A dark cloud of saddness
A hurricane of emotions in her head
This girl wants to be hapy and free of disaster
She wishes for someone to notice this unhappy body
This girl wants to let everything go
But she is afraid of what might happen
If no one notices soon, she might fade away
As she lay awake in her bed full of tears
She screams of unhappiness and anger
She wishes for a prince to wipe her tears away to kiss her lips and hold her tightly
She wishes for a prince to tell her everything is all right
She can no longer live a fake life
She can no longer keep the tears from falling
She starts to fade away from the life she once had
