Christ's never idle nor sleeping
No longer on the tree
But as shield, life's sword, now keeping
Watch over you and me

Not always we'll notice He's there
Not always being blessed
But willing with Love's tender care
Guiding life's sought for quest

Helping, according to His will
Knowing what, when to do
Life's living Word to fulfil
Jesus will help us through

Not all who accept will believe
Not all believers stand
But devils will seek to deceive
Children in Jesus' hand

Full wondrous love, amazing grace
Total power in hand
Still walking, talking face to face
Teaching to understand

Life taxing, trying, life testing
Summer, winter, snow, rain
With ones everything investing
Eternal life to gain

By walking true, living correct
Fighting, defeating death
Retaining all comers respect
Until ones final breath

Worthy of each confrontation
Pressing Heavenward high
Not for foolish reincarnation
But rebirth! never to die.....
