Not Really Knowing Who I Am Poem by mona martinez

when i'm with you,
my problems seem to fade,
you make me feel,
like it's ok to be me,
like i'm perfect just the way i am,
i like that about you,
i feel normal,
like my past don't defined me,
but when i we are apart,
i feel like my world is heavy,
i over think little things,
i didn't before,
i don't know how to be that person,
the person who appear,
strong, brave and beauitful,
it becomes who i loose,
in a world,
where being somebody else,
is what ppl want to see,
it feels frustrating,
i start to second guess myself,
and wonder if i know who i am,
or am i just be who i see.
