Not My 'swan-Song' Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Not My 'swan-Song'

I do not wish to die yet,
Please do not get me wrong,
This is not my Last Poem,
This is not my ‘Swan-Song'.

I've thought long and hard now,
Of what my Wishes are,
And the way I wish to end it,
When HE says I should go.

If I need resuscitation,
If my Life is neither here nor there,
Please ~ heed my wishes,
Of the result I am not scared.

As long as I have Myasthenia,
And am taking drugs continually,
Do not prolong my Life then,
Let it end ~ peacefully.

I listen to HIS Wishes,
I have Faith in HIM ~ I do,
I know HE'll look after me,
And provide Consolation to you too.
