Not A Tree Poem by Christina de Vries

Not A Tree

To acknowledge the need for change
Can be hard to see and hard to do
Even though the need is great
To go after what is good for you

Pursuit your deepest biggest dreams
The ones you hold to heart so dear
And hunt down what scares you most
All that can hold you back is fear

Step by step, walk to that edge
Open your eyes and take that leap
No more holding back or excuses
No more living in a state of sleep

Take that overwhelming risk
Open up your mind and start flying
Life without a single challenge
Is as close as living could be to dying

Look into the mirror and speak
Say your life is what you want it to be
If you can not to this, than change it
Remember; you are not a tree!

A really wonderful and inspiring poem! Added to my favorites list for those days when I can't seem to do those things which need to be done. This will be helpful and motivating! Thanks for sharing! 2
