I hope one day to see you
Somewhere down the road
One day maybe we'll recall
All the love we showed

We said goodbye in such haste
No friendly words were exchanged
But what we felt those last few days
For months have remained unchanged

Hopefully some day down the road
Our hearts will be able to heal
All the trust that we lost
Was something that we couldn't conceal

Both of us have been hurt
That there is no doubt
Maybe the reason why
Because we didn't know what love was about

But time they say is a healer
For almost everything
When it comes to love that ends
No one will ever win
