No one but you

You never told me before
how much pain and conflict you bore
and now that you’re leaving
a distinct pain in my heart keeps stinging

You never told me how or why
and losing this much makes me cry
realizing there’s no one but Him
makes my eyes close and the light go dim

So distant and so far away
nothing to change or delay
others being around me
to protect and make me see

Only it won’t work
there will still be that doubt
of you not coming back
and that makes my heart shatter and crack

No one will ever be the same
being alone reveals my pain
only you can really truely be
that blood sister so close to me
