Spare me from the story, don't tell me about the news
Don't want hear your bias, or one sided views
No news is good news,

I don't want hear of the king, or about his new clothes
I don't want to hear about countries in chaos, or economic woes
Don't tell me about another war, I only get confused
I don't need to know about a wonder drug, or the cure for all life's ills

Spare me from the story, don't tell me about the news
Don't want hear your bias, or one sided views

Don't tell me the story, don't tell me about the news

Don't tell me about my baby, or what she's doing now
Don't tell me about todays fashion, or who I should be hanging round
Don't tell me about life on Mars, or ancient aliens from the stars
I don't need to know who made the rich list, gossip only makes me frown

Spare me from the story, don't tell me about the news

Don't want to hear another scandal, or of someone being misconstrued
Don't need to know the world is over, or the shape of Jesus shoes
Don't care too much about the weather, or which car I should aspire
I don't need to know what gives pleasure, or what treasure I should imbue
