Drop Stone Poem by Colin Coplin

Drop Stone

Rating: 4.5

If I should slit my vein with my pen
And use my blood to write you a song
Would you think I'm crazy, would you stop me baby,
Or would you help to push it along
...push it along

Now if, all the words, that then fill the page
Lie in code and spelt out your name
Would you think me worldly, would think I'm worthy
Or would you think I'm slightly insane
... Slightly insane

Drop stone, cobwebs of hope
Lie tangled in the breezes that blow
Who knows, what they got 'til it goes
Death by a million cuts, ‘til you shows
… ‘Til you shows

If I could sing in a voice so pure
Like an angel from the heavenly choir
Would you rush to praise me, would you canonize me
Or would you simply turn a deaf ear
... Turn your ear

Now, If all the words that I wrote did come true
And your heart became besieged by love
Would you let me conquer, would you let me labour
Or would you suicide and be gone
... Suicide and be gone

Drop stone, cobwebs of hope
Lie tangled in the breezes that blow
Who knows, what they got 'til it goes
Death by a million cuts, or you grow
… or you grow

Parallel smiles, ignite and explode,
Escape through the sable curtains back to home

Come on baby, follow
Won't you follow
Come on baby, follow
Won't you follow
Follow
Explode through the block hole together we go
