No Mere Man Poem by Gary James Smith

No Mere Man

No Mere Man

No more man was our Deliverer
But according to the Word
In the creative account of Jesus Christ's birth
His DNA was God
Conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of the virgin Mary
In that day was definitely unheard of
And to the thinking of most contrary

In the wisdom of the Father
Unheeded in the thoughts of men
Faith again would bring the victory
And provide for Salvation's plan
It's definitely a heart matter
That the Spirit brings into effect
When we place our trust in the Word of the Lord
We can live with no regret

For faithful is He who has promised
After all He's the great I Am
He who spoke the world into being
Can speak it out of being again
From particles of dirt He formed us
And fashioned us such as we are
Yet we diminish His authority continually
And think He is way off a far

What a surprise in the future
When we're transported to the other side
Some to be with their father the devil
Us believers as His chosen bride
When that day of reckoning happens
Judged according to what God's Word saith
Darkness no more as to what has transpired
The evidence finally revealed by faith!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
