NO IS NO LIE
- - - - - - - - - -
'no means no' versus 'a lie is a lie'
Nana-Dutta feud, soon will not die
day by day, it hots up
this underdog is no pup
justice is our pride; truth, be open, pried

David versus Goliath the giant
mismatched combat- David ups ante
a stone thrown from sling
downs the giant, knocking
peace returns; dead.giants don't daunt!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
is this the Me Too moment in Indian Film Industry?
Victims have slowly started to speak up, with names of their tormentors, dates and venues. It may be just a trickle, compared to what happened in Hollywood.

A former actress who left film world a decade ago, accusing a senior male film star of serious misconduct ona film set, when the two were acting in a film scene. There seem to be some witnesses and some evidence too.The senior star hasstoutly denied: ' a lie is a lie'.
Battlelines are being drawn!

Goliath is described in the biblical Book of Samuel as a Philistine giant defeated by the young David in single combat, serving as the representative of paganism, in contrast to David, the champion of the God of Israel. Christian tradition sees the story as prefiguring Jesus' victory over sin and the Church's victory over Satan.

In our story, Goliath is the entire male dominated Indian Film Industry; David is the victim, usually a young male or female actor trying to get a foothold in the industry.

I have started reading Indian poets, like you, Valsa George and a few others. There is much I learn from these poems; the style gets reflected in my poems. Thank you once again.
