No Happy Days, Apart From You Poem by Late Sunrise

No Happy Days, Apart From You

Under bright starry nights or white snowy days,
They say Happy New Year, Merry Christmas,
This time is known by all as happiness,
But how could I still smile and converse?

Unlighted was the cool moonlight,
Without your embrace so tight,
So cold I felt the new blue day,
Alone I had to move on my way.

What was a Christmas spent senseless?
Reading silently the New Year wishes,
When every meal became tasteless,
For it was shared with such emptiness.

Whispering our words of love in my thoughts,
I try to dissipate the mist of these heavy clouds,
I wait for the years to be renewed beside each other,
These will last as happiness, from you and me together.
