No Catharsis Will Serve Poem by Brandon Nothing

No Catharsis Will Serve

Black operations and underground tracks
Lead me to the depths of mountains
Where underneath I will search
For the rubies and diamonds that surly will be mine
And for every speck of dirt I remove
I take the chance of the walls falling around me
The stick holds up straight and scares all the trees
None are needed here
If it helps you, I will tell you the truth
If it helps
I will hurt you
So you can learn from the pain we share
I can’t find a hand to hold
These jagged ledges
They hold me to my grudges
