No Big Deal Poem by Holly Moon

No Big Deal

So many disasters
Are actually not such a big deal
Everyday they happen
In succession
Be they as they may
Little things and big
Things go wrong and we overlook them
Not giving them due importance
Turns them into nameless disasters
Because we do not learn
And take no action to remedy
The case and issue
Like the one about the generator
That was supposed to work
Come Eurovision night
The blackout was unheard
Do we even know how to panic
It' absurd that in 2014
Something would have been planned
Everyone sitting in the dark
Pinching ourselves..
Am I awake... is this a dream?
