Ninja

I am the shadow that walks through cities
the concrete jungles of modern day.
I am the whisper in the wind,
echoing a long forgotten way.

Still my foes survive the centuries,
continuing my existence, still.
With my blade I scour the night
for those enemies of mine to kill.

Branded with the title Foe
are those who foul the Code of Honor;
murderers, sadists, rapists, terrorists
shall walk the peaceful streets no longer.

Victims need not fear for life
as I, the shadow guardian stalks
the ones who’ve fouled the Code of Honor
and spring upon them like a hawk.
