Brand

You are a beauty I could never have
You are a Fallen Angel that possesses,
knowledge that few could ever comprehend.
You've seen Heaven
You've seen Hell
You see the world for what it is
You are someone whose dark aura,
attracts those who want to see this too.
They are but one step closer to understanding,
why they are here.
What their purpose is
Why they will never go to Heaven
I am among them
I will never go to Heaven,
descend to Hell.
I will stay here...because of you
I will stand by your side,
because I could never have you.
So I choose to stand by you,
as a friend,
an advisor,
as someone to turn to,
someone who loves you,
but someone who could never have you.
You're an influence on me
Though when I try,
I cannot rid myself of you.
You are forever in my mind
You are forever in my heart
I know I have your love,
but cannot have you as well.
I cannot be your equal
It is this reason that drives me to insanity
And though I hope that another nail,
comes along,
and hammers out the old one,
I fear that that may not happen.
I am corrupted by you,
my Fallen Angel.
I am corrupted because,
you are the one thing I want.
The one thing I cant have
Your love taunts and tortures me,
because I can never have you.
And as I try to rid myself of you
As I try to rip away the influence,
you have had on me,
I come to the realization,
that you've branded me with your name.
My soul wears your name
Like a mark of shame,
or a tattoo of glory,
my soul wears your name.
I will never be rid of it
Till the end of my life,
I will wear it.
