Nightmares Poem by Mathew Sutter

Nightmares

Curse these dreams,
Called Nightmares.
They plaque my mind,
With evil claws,
Scratching my mind,
And making me fear sleep.

Curse these dreams,
Called Nightmares.
They are like a prowling predator,
Waiting for me to sleep,
To slip into my dreams.
Unicorns and fairys leave my mind,
And spiders and death surrond me.

I kick and scream,
They plaque my mind,
With evil claws,
Scratching my mind,
And making me fear sleep.
Now I can't sleep,

But my eyes droop,
And my breathing slows.
Too late...
Here they come...
