Nightmares Poem by Shihabudheen K J

Nightmares

Midnight opened its doors long before me
The night bird has returned way back home chirping
Still!
Memories spreads its claws over every inch of mine;
Like a fish struggling in land I am!
Nap plays hide and seek game!
Darkness embraces while
Venomous cobra hugs me tightly
I find myself not attending to the cries within!
Voices unheard rests in throat.
Am wandering like a ghost
Lost in destination.
Dawn has burst white all over the horizon
My eyes still kept open to the agonies of nightmare! ! ! !
