Nightmare Of Rain Poem by Marilyn Lott

Nightmare Of Rain

When it rains for whatever reason
Possibly brought on by a hurricane
The nightmare is always horrific
From whatever brought on that rain

Hour after hour the rain pours down
Puddles turn into rivers or streams
Flooding is always imminent
So many know what it means

Rivers and streams turn into lakes
Sometimes an ocean of rain
Roads are closed completely
With mostly nature to blame

Crops are ruined, animals die
Sometimes people die too
I’ve seen this happen personally
Perhaps it has happened to you

It occurs every year somewhere
Nature’s path is never the same
Wherever it happens, I’ll tell you
Folks experience a nightmare of rain!

Marilyn, good description of nightmare rain, I've only seen it once or twice, but it really shows the power of nature. Keep writing Bob
