Nightmare Poem by Erica Wells

Nightmare

Rating: 5.0

Running, taking in every breath as fast as I can
No one to save me....No one to take my hand
I can't turn around, I won't look back
He'll catch up with me, I know for a fact
I stop in the middle of my of my trail
He points the gun to my head, don't move he says
I stand solid and stiff, it's cold and I cry out for help......
He shoots.....I fall to the ground......
Realizing I rolled out of the bed, and I'm now on the floor
Sweaty palms, and a aching head, It was just a dream-
But there is blood on the floor, He really did shoot
Maybe I'm imagining it was some dream
Could this be real.....
I look up and everythings blurry.....
As he stands over me....I beg him not to do it,
He shoots!
I close my eyes and watch myself fall into heavens arms...........
