Night Was Plucky Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Night Was Plucky

Night was plucky
Night was saucy
and
her myriad of retainers
all
before onset of the Dawn
before
close curtain of his reign
all
advised
and all he warned
all
to safety they hied
who at once, who
delayed then fled,
yet all went
and captured
safety.
And
thus sheltered lived on
yet
for another day to
return.
And
with every new night new day
all this palinode turned and
turned
