Night Vision Poem by Charles Lampert

Night Vision

Rating: 4.8

moon rises
like a flower floating
on sea foam

distant train
making thunder
shaking the ground like rain

whippoorwill
sings aria sounding
like the Magic Flute

night glows
bright as day
until clouds return

sky to night.

A lovely poem, cleverly crafted with appropriate Simile which captured the essence of the poem. Beautiful indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Charles, striking poem; the imagery is vivid. And in short doses, the effect is powerful. You must be good in haiku! A suggestion, instead of far train would distant train sound better?
