Nigeria My Country Poem by Solomon Terlumun Tule

My country is under a siege,
That's why I write a dirge.
Nigeria my country is falling apart,
'cause her leaders have taken the wrong path.
The land is full of greed,
This is not what we agreed.
People continually wallow in pain,
Yet, their cry is often in vain.
Nigeria my country is falling away
The youths they refused to give the way.
The old have refused to take a rest,
Though their brains does not contend the current test.
Everywhere is in confusion,
The leaders are in contradiction.
All they tell is lie,
Even the spokesman is Lai.
Masses continually killed like sheep,
While they have ship in the deep.
Corruption, nepotism, the watch words,
This is known to the world.
Unity in diversity they preach,
In the inns division they teach.
We thought Buhari could be free,
But that has been his glee.
Nigeria my country is about to fall,
That's why I'm making the call.
