You had a love that you thought was strong
But now things are terribly wrong
You wonder if they'll be a second chance
To once again find romance
You've seen it happen to your friends
Happy beginnings, tearful ends
But you never thought you'd see the day
When divorce would come your way

Please know it's alright to cry
Let those tears fall from your eyes
Take all the time that you need
Because your heart is going to bleed
You're not the first whose ever lost
Sometimes love comes at a cost
We all know it's not nice
Love should never come at a price

But you'll pick yourself up and move on
Soon, the anger and pain will be gone
Before you know it they'll come a day
When tears no longer fall your way
I know one day you will find
That love in fact can be kind
For somewhere out there waits a man
Who'll come and gently take your hand

One day I hope you will see
The similarities between, you and me
You see, I to have lost at love
So I know what I speak of
This is why you must let go
Give a new love a chance to grow
If you remember to take your time
In the end things will work out fine

Because what you thought you'd never find
Is now with you all the time
You found that true love does exist
Right now you just can't resist
To scream out loud your in love
All the way up to the heavens above
This great new love that you found
You know this time it will stay around
