New Day Dawning Poem by Emeline Pennock Morris

New Day Dawning

The curtains of Heaven are opening for you.
A new day is dawning as they now turn to blue,
Dark shadows keep yawning as bright Sun shows Her head.
When the moon and the stars creep into bed.

She forces each flower to open an eye,
As She pours gold slivers through purple clouds in the sky.
Our Sun is a blessing that wipes sad thoughts away,
And comes as a healing balm to smooth each wrinkled day.
