Never Got The Chance Poem by Ray Hansell

Never Got The Chance

Forty two years in love
That's how long they were together
Each and every year of marriage
Only seemed to get better

They went everywhere together
Always side by side
It was a great life
Their love they didn't hide

But one night the angels came
His soul lifted up high
The angels took him back home
She never got the chance to say goodbye
