Never Free Poem by Paul Burt

Never Free

Nothing in life is ever truly free
No matter how much people paints and sells the idea of something being free
but in reality it never is, everything has it's price
even someone's life has a price.

I want to believe we're free to do what we want but we're so far away from that ever happening
we're just prisoners to corporate greed machine that profits from our losses,
While they live the high life, we live on the scraps.

We are never free and that's something that will never change.
