Never Forget Me Poem by Laquory Jones

Never Forget Me

How easily did you forget about me
They say within the realms of our dreams
There will always lie an inner key
I just wanted to bring that inner peace
A thousand people slowly falling to their knees
Slowly watching the pain as it Increase
Tell me when will the lies ever cease
Candles lit for the deceased
Will we as a people ever be free
No one see the chains they're cloaked within
Invisibility this has now become our new reality
I'm sensing no gravity It's mind-boggling
How these thoughts latches themselves onto me
Never knew there would come a time
I'd be writing with such urgency
My S.O.S screaming red alert hear me please
It's an emergency
(But Richie this poem isn't earth-shattering)

Tonight I'm licking these wounds
Time's slicing like harpoons
Under these moons
I'm letting my emotions converge
Until the magic of the arts re-emerge
No need to reimburse
Just let my masterpieces re-occur
I grant you the right to read my work
On your spare time help keep my poems of mine
Constantly alive in your hearts and minds
It's the only way we as poets can survive
Knowing that every star will forever shine

A million candles ignited within plain sight
To keep each of our legacies alive
Tonight I'm reaching new heights
While toppling over obstacles
I'm seeing new life through a microscope
While walking upon the earth within her
Continental slopes I guess you can say that
I've hit my learning curve but there's still
No need for me to turn no longer will I swerve
Never will I crash and burn I just smile in return
Knowing that there's a million people just like me
That can concur and I forever stand by these words
