My Words For Life Poem by Laquory Jones

My Words For Life

Rating: 4.8

Will you let me inside your hearts as words become the ultra
Spark an enlightenment through the dark but it became my
Only art not easily being discarded igniting fires through the
Path of life go ahead and do the math while destroying our
Obstacles within our path soon you'll see the aftermath while
We all sit back and have a laugh perhaps have a cry as we
Search for relief releasing heartache and grief pain's hitting
With such intensity but let me end your misery because
In the end you'll finally see that you'll always have somebody
By your side so do you still want to go for that extra ride

If you're ever feeling lonely and blue and you're lost not knowing
What to do with eyes low to the ground and no one else's around
Look up and seek my face perhaps I can help you find a place
There's always something that we often chase sometimes
Society treats Life as if it's a race while looking back in disgrace
I too struggle to keep up its pace bitter is the taste when you
Feel everything has gone to waste I too have felt its shame
(do you not feel the same) I'll be your umbrella when it rains
Bumpy is the terrain call me crazy or call me sane but

Perhaps it was at the age of twenty-two when I was wondering
What could I do back then I never knew How could I move
People by the Hearts my words became a gateway to the soul
And right then I knew I found my vehicle for people searching
For miracles while sparking life in intervals all I have ever wanted
Was to give you life Spark it in the way I write provide you with
Some insight en-lighting the darkest of nights So you know I'll
Always care heartache each of us had our share I came into
The world when it was dark and bare but I've provide it flares
Cementing my legacy in ink with pens igniting the matches
