Never Ending Goodbyes Poem by June FeirCruz

Never Ending Goodbyes

Rating: 5.0

How many times did we say goodbye to each other?
How many times did we say such hurtful words?
How many times did you distrust me and my ways?
Countless days and nights, I weep endlessly.

How many times do I ask myself: WHY YOU?
How many times do I ask myself: WHY NOW?
How many times do I ask myself: Why NOT?
How many times do I tell myself: Because....

Because you are beautiful
Because you rock my world
Because with your blue eyes, I see heaven
Because your lips, I can't live without
Because your touch - is like velvet
Because your scent - is like vanilla and spice.
Because you are you...and there will NEVER EVER BE
anyone like you! ! ! ! ! !

Emotion leaps out of this piece. The repetition forces it out, imprints it on the reader. Powerful and memorable, thank you June.
