Never Again Poem by Margaret Shaw

Never Again

I watch as your warm eyes fade away,
Your smile is becoming so distant now,
It's like you're a vapor in the wind,
What has happened to us?
It felt like we were one before,
Please show me,
Please show me what went wrong.

I feel,
Like the world is growing darker,
And the pictures of my life,
Are falling from the walls around me,
Can you hear my voice?
I'm calling your sweet name,
As I'm drowning,
Drowning in a world,
Never to be the same again.

My life was so bright when you were here,
But now it seems things are disappearing,
Why can't you see that I love you?
My love for you will never change,
Please help me out here,
To find me,
To find my way in life.

I feel,
The world is growing darker,
And the pictures of my life,
Are falling from the walls around me,
Can you hear my voice?
I'm calling your sweet name,
As I'm drowning,
Drowning in a world,
Never to be the same again.

I'm falling down,
And I can't seem to rise,
My life is turning in circles,
Each day grows darker,
Laughter just seems to fade,
Where is the joy I used to know?
You took it with you,
When you took my heart.
But...

Now I feel,
Like the world has grown brighter,
And the pictures of my life,
Have finally fallen into place,
Did you hear my voice?
I was calling your sweet name,
But I'm not drowning,
Drowning in a world,
Never to be the same again,
No, I'll never be the same again.

Thank you.
