Need Of Gandhi Poem by Imthiyaz Khan

Need Of Gandhi

I am sorry mother India!
Independence we have had
for more than six decades!
The feeling of freedom
like the fragrance pervades!

But you are as a neglected
martyr in his native land
passing through a period of value crisis!
Who knows for certain
for all this, 'what is the basis? '

Corruption, violence, cynicism,
hypocrisy, exploitation,
disparity and disruption
as inseparable as
components of blood,
what not is rampant?
New dimensions:
slyness for wisdom,
abuse of power for
efficient administration,
deceitfulness for tact,
like Ganja for Tulasi,
(cannabis for holy basil) ,
are triumphant!

Learning, justice,
administration and
so on are mazed!
Upon which super-structure
of nation is based!

Accountability finds
its tangible address
in public sector
like the moon
on lunar eclipse!
To deprive us of
quality education,
unexempted is even
university rector!

Because there is
selfless leaders' dearth,
I pray to you Mother
to give birth to another Gandhi! ! !
