Natures Oath Poem by Danie Babcock

Natures Oath

Founder of such shimmering beauty,
For whom the oceans lye in shining crystals,
And the earth, natures mother,
The green of the grass, the blue of the lakes and rivers,
And the home of many wild and free,
Shining of suns, drawing of moons,
Each of us shares their light.
Making us one with all,
Granting every wish of the flower,
Of falling rain and glamorous sun,
The eternal crashing waves of sea,
The calm heart flows smoothly in the waters,
An escape to all troubled, all hurting,
The wind, water, hills and mountains,
Bringing the world home,

Over powering every source of pain,
Give to the world peace of sun and rain,
The heart of nature, the cauldron of life,
Grating upon every waking, of pure sunlight,
The waters, air, life are perfect,
That may give us a future of better,
Building an earth of patience and harmony,
Growing hope and love in us all,
Leaves bloom and fall, leaves born and die,
Making the equinox begin,
Making the world brighter, making us better,
Giving the herbs and fields sprout of life,
The Gloom of the night, the shine of the day,
The grey of the clouds, the white of the snow,
It is all beautiful,
For the moonflower and sunflower,
Paint the earth of blues and yellows,
For love, strength, compassion and hope,
Forever shall they all remain, growing beautiful in the ground.
