Nature Keeps Winning Poem by Tony Assumang

Nature Keeps Winning

Rating: 4.8

The laws of nature keep winning
No matter how much we try fighting
Nature keeps winning
Until we throw in the towel

And then again nature leads us
To places and to people
People we only see in our minds eye
People we never thought existed

And then again nature drives us
Like a bus going nowhere
To see traits in people
Traits that only existed in our imagination
Traits that only made sense in our imagination

Nature gives us no choice
Like an inevitable rainfall on a rainy day
Nature pushes us against the wall
Till we become helpless and fall
And the same people we see in our minds eye
The people we thought never existed
The people their traits existed in our imagination
Refuse to catch us when we fall

Yes! Nature keeps winning
But if we get cushioned from hitting the ground
By one out of the lot
Then what choice have we got?
But believe in nature
That falling in love is natural

Love is a spiritual experience and a gift of nature's providence. I like the articulation, insight and conviction of the poem. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
