Naming Our Wall Poem by Arno Le Roux

Every wall's a lesson and right on schedule falls apart
Designed for safety a measure of detachment as a part

life's only lessons are the distance kept when walls collapse
Designed for safer learning while keeping you sane perhaps

We raise these walls without cement as we stack them cold
The wise stand back and wait they learned watching the old

We're free to choose the names of bricks as we them stack high
Over time we use those better bricks on which weighty 'Time' rely

'Greed', the smoothest brick will help you faster build your wall
'Revenge' too is a polished brick and my they build them tall

'Gossip' gets the most attention, builders fight to these include
And in the corner of life's brick yard some heavy ones elude

Few have the strength to carry these and fashion them a wall
It's back break work you see and won't make you stand tall

The Architect shaped and left these real heavy bricks for thee
Everyone saw them stacked but sheer size made them others see

A rusted metal sign had six names for these bricks of old
Imprinted different names on each side before these gone cold

'Tollerance' at the bottom side bearing every ounce of weight
'Forgiveness' at the very top visible reminder not to wait

'Patience' onto leftside stamped to be forced against another brick
'Love' on the right side then will grind against, ensure patience stick

And lightly stamped on the front and back two meaningful last words
These images make all the difference yes even hereafter worlds

Signifying 'Hope' for us the image of an anchor stamped front sides
And where no one sees (as it should be) 'Charity' behind resides
