Nami Poem by Toshie Nohara

Nami

Grandma likes your lovely name
Your father claims
'Nami means Southern Beauty'
Your black eyes so lively
Tall and slim you are, quite stylish
Long hair a little shiny
Face really fair,
Cheeks ever rosy
Likes skipping rope-so easy
Go swimming is your joy
But not playing with toys
Beating the drum sometimes so happily
Making animals with balloons so expertly
Drawing pictures of cartoons so freely
What a happy girl of my heart
I love you and will never depart
