Nacht Poem by Morgan Michaels

Nacht

I have blown my candle out-
Through the window Night slips in
holds me gently, lets me be his friend,
lets me be his brother.

Homelessness wastes both our hearts.
In divining dreams
he whispers of the olden days
in our father's house.
