Mysterious Saviour Poem by Mitchell Weidman

Mysterious Saviour

Rating: 4.0

The hellish terrain i walk, barefooted and alone,
the deeper i look my vision is still blurry,
i cant grasp a hold of what im looking for,
as i call out for help i get no reply,
sometimes i wonder, why do i try?

no time to rest, cant afford it now,
only distractions and obstacles in my way,
so much to do in so little time,
no single man could complete such a task,
but there not a single person around to ask.

I can't give up i will prove to the world,
that i will not fall down no matter what,
if i do ill pick myself up, to finish it all,
all i ask is for guidance, and where i must go,
once again no one in sight, and no one to know.

time will pass and i will become weak,
i hide my energy and power deep within,
so when i need it most i can call upon its help,
the pain is unbearable, my feet are so sore,
well done world you can add another to your score.

But not just yet said a mysterious voice,
i will not let you give up, if i have a choice,
he picked me up off the ground, right on my feet,
he looked me in the eyes and said son,
this is one challenge you must complete.

with a smile on my face he sent me on my way,
with shoes on my feet, to start off my day,
it was miraculous i found help with my unworthy behavior,
I'll never forget the day i was helped,
by my Mysterious Savior.
