Myriad Moods Of The Human Mind Poem by Gita Ashok

Myriad Moods Of The Human Mind

A slithery snake, a fishing bait;
a river in spate, a serene lake;
a galloping horse, a sleeping baby;
a misty mountain, a sandy plain.

A convoluted rope, a steep slope;
an open window, a green meadow;
a raging fire, a gusty wind;
a light drizzle, a tempestuous torrent.

A sprouting seed, a persistent weed;
an overflowing reservoir, a dormant volcano;
a sharp thorn, a flower in bloom;
a wandering cloud, a winding road.

These are some of the myriad moods
of the human mind –
the only one of its kind
in all the universe one can find.

Good Work! Depiction and Picturisation come so easily for you, like a river flowing effortlessly. Human Mind can be likened to an Enigma. The irony is, we ourself don't know why do we feel the way we feel. Many times, I would wonder what makes us think, the way we think. If, we are in control of our Moods, we can call it at our will. Rather, it is the other way! . Then, are there external forces driving our moods? If so, what are these external forces? ? ? Oh! I have traveled far beyond the scope!
