My Tale Of The Tiger Poem by Ima Ryma

My Tale Of The Tiger

The wife told me, 'Take a hike, dear, '
After the wife did tell me that
No dangerous animals here
In this wild jungle habitat.
Shortly after a tiger be
Proof the wife told me an untruth,
As it crouched just ten yards from me
Ready to pounce with claw and tooth.
I'm not in real good shape so I
Chose not to climb a tree or run.
I think the tiger thought I'd try,
Giving a show to watch for fun.

I have a lot of fatty meat,
So I was chosen not to eat.
