My Stage Poem by Jacob Courtney

My Stage

The stage in which I stand is that of a
man who sees the world like a child,
but understands what is to be. Old
enough to go on my own yet young
enough to stay at home. I am called
a man yet I feel to be nothing more
than that of a boy. Yes I have grown
yes I have experienced what a boy
can not, but react to it like a man I
do not. SO when do I make the
change to be a man. Who makes
that determination when your no
longer a child. For if you see the
world as a child then do you ever
become an adult. So many
questions with no answer in sight.
For now I will stand on the stage
that I got and enjoy seeing the
world from the eyes of both a
boy and a man.
