My Soul Died Poem by Miri AMR

My Soul Died

My heart has never felt intense pain,
nor this deep agony beyond torment.
My stomach churns with ache.
I still feel your piercing words,
and your scolding expression.
Your posture oh so intimidating,
I felt my heart crack,
while it was still beating.
As you delivered your message,
and you communicated your opinion,
and dared to verbalize your misconception.
I learned of your disappointment.
Anguish came upon me.
I felt my heart break.
I felt the blood seep,
as my heart slowly continued to beat.
The final blow, your proclamation,
in such awkward deliverance,
of the barter of your feelings,
the realization of this alteration.
The situation caused the ripple effect.
As with my broken heart, I then
felt my soul die. My soul died
and I am gone.
