My Shadow Seeks

My Shadow Seeks

My shadow of fear watched me last night
as I played each key... black and white.
My shadow of fear still watches over me.
It watched me take a bath. It watched me eat.
My shadow of fear still stays near
waiting for the minute I show my fear.
It's getting hungry but it's still calm
but it won't be like that for long.
It wants to feed only from fear.
The day will come when my eyes will tear.
If it's calm then I am calm
but when it comes to feed I shall not run.
I shall be strong and hold on tight.
I shall not give in to it's fight
for if I do my life it'll take
and my soul forever fade.
I'll be put in eternal sleep
and my memories will be hidden deep beneath.
For I'll forever be forgotten
and my soul will vanish in the darkness.
It wins again; from fear it fed.
I feared so much till I was dead.
This is why I shall be strong,
to save my future from what might come.
