My Reflections Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

My Reflections

My reflections
In the ponds
And streams
Seem to shiver
With every crickets
Scream

These black shadows
That follow me
Give no clue
Where I should be

Echoes of voice
Just as I speak
In the valleys
Resound then retreat

Traveled so far
Along in life
Still so lost
Have no respite

Lost in woods
Got caught in vines
Need a road map
I want searchlight

There should be
A way around
this wretchedness
Needs to end now
