God took the beauty of the sunset
The confidence of justice
The depth of hell
The deliciousness of a dream
The gentleness of falling dew
The honesty of a mirror
The pride of Lucifer
The sensitivity of flowers
And the tenderness of tears
He put these qualities together,
Gave them a physical build
And he gave the being to me
As a reflection of his love for me.
He even gave the being a name
Closer to perfection
My name in bold!
I'm staring at my reflection.
You are all of that and more, Eunice. Always remember that you are beautiful Peace
staring at my reflection. Great self image.. loved by God and you are filled with so many heavenly qualities. thank u. this made me think... we should alwys propagate this idea of keeping the self image in tact and very positive..thanku dear poetess. tony
I really enjoyed reading your poem... especially the The at the beginning of the sentences... however l feel like you could have added some sort of structure to your poem for example you could have made your poem into a sonnet with the last rhyming couplet indented to show how certain you are of your reflection in the end. But l really enjoyed it overally.
this is the beginning of your poem in my language.. - the full version in the e-book.. ;) Il mio riflesso Dio ha preso lo splendore del tramonto La fiducia della giustizia L’abisso dell'inferno La delizia di un sogno La leggerezza della goccia di rugiada La sincerità di uno specchio ....
Your poem has had a powerful impact on me. It is a poem of a secondary creation as if God made a special creative gesture remixing already created things to produce a wholly unique human being. I say WHOLLY UNIQUE because of the disparate elements that are blended: sunset beauty is conventional, but not depth of hell; delicious dream OK but confidence of justice WOW; honesty of mirror not surprising but Satan's confidence BIG surprise. Your list suggests a wondrous alchemy at work. And (a final surprise) the poem closes in a calm contemplation of the results.
My name in bold! I'm staring at my reflection. great finale! :) nice write, Eunice
