My Queen Poem by Sam Smith

My Queen

Rating: 5.0

As I stand before you, my head is filed with a thousand questions,
All of them inferring me the same suggestions;
To forsake my fears and to embrace our future years,
So for what comes next I need no tears but open hears.

I have learned that trust is something that is earned not given,
And in the road to learn the truth I have become unforgiven.
So there are things I am not proud of and yet regret is not in my mind,
Because I know that this choice of trust is no regret confined.

I am bad with words, I am no poet, and I am no singer,
But what I have to say most be expressed in a certain way.
So I’ll try to be clear, I’ll try to make sense, and I’ll try not to linger,
By saying what comes next with grader words than just adore;
These words that were so empty to me once are now full; and they are I LOVE YOU.

I love you like the bird loves the wind,
I love you like the flower loves spring.
I love you more than Gods his kin;
I love you more than what love can bring.

My love for you cannot be explained,
But as your knight I have trained.
My body and soul are yours, it is pre-ordained

It was destiny for our paths to cross,
It Gods choice not chance is toss;
We have gained much and have no loss.

So as I stand before you, my heart not in your hand but held by a string,
Your knight humbly asks to grant him one simple thing.
To make him feel the pleasures not only heaven can bring,
By becoming this knight’s maiden; making him feel like a king.

Wow. Now THIS is something. I must admit, if there is someone you like as much as you described in this poem, that lucky lady would go a long way. I love this poem. Keep on writing, and you will go far as well. ;) Your fellow writer, Cassandra Jasmine
